Rapid changes in European security environment have prompted NATO to reassert its role as a security provider on the continent. In reaction to Russia´s illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula and destabilizing actions in eastern Ukraine, the Alliance has implemented a series of reassuring measures, including an increased, rotational presence of NATO troops in Central Eastern Europe and the Baltic states. At the same time, Sweden and Finland, two military non-aligned countries, are enhancing their cooperation with NATO. Sweden signed a Host Nation Support agreement which enhances Sweden´s capability to host NATO troops on its soil.
What will be the main focus of the Warsaw summit in July? How will NATO evolution and new priorities influence its partnership with countries like Sweden and Finland?
Folk och Försvar, the Swedish Atlantic Council and the Atlantic Council of Finland invites you to a seminar on the Warsaw summit and the future of NATO, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm.
